Book of Mormon nominated for fourteen Tonys?! That’s pretty awesome, considering it’s the best show ever! It better win for Best Musical…. xoxo
So this used to be my favorite show ever. Like I saw it a ridiculous amount of times (though not as many as I saw American Idiot…) Well anyway, I love it for quite awhile. Then one day, I went… And didn’t like it as much. Like it somehow just lost it’s magic for me… Well anyway, I recommend, in part because literally everyone has seen it, and you’ll be the odd one out if you’re talking to your theater friends, but just expect to have a good time, but nothing too groundbreaking.
that’s the blog that I’m on most of the time, and it’s pretty much fashion-centric! I hope all of you will take a look at that, and follow me there as well! xox
Send me a message, there’s a good chance that I’ve seen it! xo
La Cage Aux Folles is one of the most heart-warming stories ever. What’s not to love? Two adorable gay men who own a drag queen cabaret, their handsome son and his new fiancee and all sorts of hilarious antics. I had the pleasure of seeing Douglas Hodge’s and Kelsey Grammer’s last show of La Cage and it was tear jerking. The way Douglas Hodge slips into his character is one of the most brilliant things I’ve ever seen. So sad that it’s closing May 1st. So go see it!! xo
kobyzoshi asked: Just read your post on Phantom. I saw it on Broadway with Hugh Panaro as the Phantom six years ago. I hadn't heard the music, hadn't seen the movie, didn't know the story. It was the most amazing theatrical experience of my life.
Just wanted to share that with you. :P (Following you via jonathanlikespotatoes)
Haha yeah Hugh is amazing! This is actually his third run in Phantom, I believe. He was Raul in the 90’s the Phantom in the mid 2000’s and he’s been the Phantom again since 2010. Thanks so much for sharing! xo
I’ve been lucky enough to see Billie Joe as St. Jimmy three times, and I even got to meet him after one of the shows!
The longest running show on Broadway.
One of the most watched pieces of entertainment in the world.
Oscar Nominated movie.
Tony Award winner.
There is so much to say about Phantom, but the most important thing that I can tell you is to go see it on Broadway. It’s a classic. The stage, the spectacle, the costumes, the MUSIC. All of it is just amazing. I highly recommend that anyone who has even a slight interest in theater goes and sees Phantom. (ps, try and see it with Hugh Panaro as the Phantom!)
FUNNIEST. DAY. OF. MY. LIFE.
That show makes you laugh so hard that your face hurts. I’ve honestly never laughed so hard in my life. It’s about two Mormon boys who get sent on their missionaries to Uganda. As you can tell from just that little bit of information, it is ridiculous. Anyway, go see it if you can laugh at absurd things, but if you are easily offended, Book of Mormon is not the show for you. xo
this is of me and the amazing Reeve Carney (Spider-Man/Peter Parker) who I have had the pleasure of meeting several times! He’s a sweetheart and is so talented. And it’s his birthday today! Happy birthday Reeve!! xo
